Glacier Hike in the Lyngen Alps

The glacier hiking takes place in the heart of the Lyngen Alps – a chain of steep mountains surrounded by fjords. You need no previous glacier walking experience to participate. However, you should be in good shape to do the 14 km hike.
The tour starts with hiking for 2-3 hours through Steindalen before we reach Steindalsbreen.

An introduction about how to walk on the glacier will be given, focusing on safety before and during the trip. The pace and level of difficulty are adjusted according to the skills, physical form and wishes of the participants in the group.

Before we move on the glacier, we stop for a meal and a hot drink.

Your knowledgable guide will make sure you get all the information and equipment needed to carry out the walk on the glacier safely.

Along the way on this exciting tour, you will get an insight into Sami and Kven culture and the area's unique geology.

You should be in normal physical shape to complete the tour. Not suitable for children under 7 years.
